What is special about Geography at St Michael’s Primary School?
Geography at St Michael’s is special because it shapes how our children understand the world around them, starting from their own home and then to the wider world. They understand where they are in the world and will discover what the world is like.
Children at St Michael’s become geographers by building curiosity, developing observation skills and developing awareness about worldwide issues that matter.
Our children become geographers by doing and experiencing our world by completing fieldwork within our school grounds, in our local area of Pelsall and further afield.
Really importantly, our children learn how people and places are connected which in turn teaches them the importance of caring for our planet. It turns natural curiosity into meaningful understanding of the world around them.
